As the South-East Asian integration approaches, conferences and seminars are held to foster ideas on the positive changes the anticipated ASEAN will bring to the allied nations. It is believed that the ASEAN integration will impact and impart in several sectors including Education, Economical, Cultural, and Sociological sectors of the corresponding countries. In the disposition of the European Union, it has steadily intensified, and equally enlightened other regional countries from other continents to see the purpose of establishing an agreement that will bring them together for one goal to reach development.
Amidst all these conferences organized, significant topics are drafted, presented, and researched on the national interest of Thailand in being part of the ASEAN. Thailand as the third largest economy among her ASEAN compatriots inclined to take measures in the adaptation of ideas from different perspectives from scholars and academic elites who deliver speeches on the benefits of China-ASEAN relation. Due to this gradual progress, programs are planned, projected and achieved to inform the people of Thailand about the forthcoming ASEAN integration.
The ASEAN integration is currently one of the very large diversely throbbing topics in the South-East Asian nations. This had likewise, prompted further research and institutions to organize seminars regarding the idea of today’s subject matters that surrounds the South-East Asian nations. Siam University had equally capitalized on its broadness by hosting the recent International Conference on Connected Innovative Knowledge Economy under the diversified topic of China-ASEAN relation, which was held from 15th to 16th of June 2015, and was divided into two comparable sessions.
Session 1:
Reliable topics were intensively drafted and discussed deliberately, based on the Economic aspect of ASEAN financial integration and also the strategies in organization management and tourism sectors. This session identified the increasing questions concerning the immense role of the China’s economic and business collaboration with ASEAN; only if an amalgamation would certainly be established between the South-East Asian countries. It also activated the affirming role of the Universities on being powerhouses of economic growth and wellbeing of the society.
In this particular knowledge-sharing session, China-ASEAN relation and the sturdy academic role of different institutions in the formation of ASEAN were properly and judiciously deliberated.
Session 2:
This session of the conference reflected on the positive changes in the economic growth of the 10 allied countries. Results from a certain research were appropriately presented to statistically forecast and indicate the economic benefit of ASEAN’s emerging markets especially, countries like Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam respectively.
There were certain issues that were tabled concerning the possibility of establishing an integration of Sino-ASEAN and also the consuming sovereignty in Sino-ASEAN. These were believed, to have a gigantic effect on the ASEAN communities that will attract more business partners to the Association.
There were also slight touches on the changes of the educational system in the ASEAN countries, given the fact that it has already been deliberated in the previous session of the conference. But, the need for further elaboration on the same matter was gracefully expressed.
The conference was indeed a successful drive to the understanding of ASEAN integration. Coupled with the tireless and immense efforts of some dedicated academic elites and outstanding lecturers and professors from several different Universities in Thailand, and abroad that were present on that day contributed to the success of the conference.
It has edged our knowledge of ASEAN and its economic affiliates. And, through their efforts, significant topics were drafted and systematically presented; offering the audience opportunity to know that education, economic, cultural understanding, and socio-cum political cordials are the main elements in the establishment of the ASEAN integration.
Accolades were awarded to the awardees for best presentation by the president of Siam University, Dr. Pornchai Mongkhonvanit.
Siam University has made known to the public that one of its preserved lofty goals is to ensure that the ASEAN integration comes to its fulfilment in any possible means.
