University Expo – Thailand 4.0 – Siam Paragon

This year, the University Expo 2018 marks the time when the power of higher education works together to drive the nation’s technology and innovation of Thailand 4.0.  During the exhibition, potential students will have the opportunity to take part in the ‘aiSCT test’ to help them choose the right faculty for their future.

To honor the 45th anniversary of the Council of University President’s of Thailand, 33 institutes have joined together to show their strengths and potential at the time of Thailand 4.0.

 

The aim is to display their readiness to become an important part of society, to help drive production of manpower, along with the creation of research and innovation.  This will help the nation’s economy develop and help its citizens obtain a better quality of life.  This strategic plan is a 20-year plan to enable society with modern tools and knowledge to succeed in their future.

This event is taking place at Siam Paragon’s Royal Hall in March and will have feature lectures by some of the top experts in the country.  There will also be a special lecture by Dr. Somkid Jatusripitak, Deputy Prime Minister on “Thailand and Sustainable Development Partnership.”

The exhibition is separated into 10 interactive zones and learning stations for the students to experience more about their next level of education.

Zone 1 – The “Royal Pavilion”

Zone 2 – STEM Education & 21st Century Learning – concept of a new education system that will lay the foundation for science, technology, engineering and mathematics that will drive Thailand’s economy and society

Zone 3 – Thai Higher Education and Community Development – academic projects and research in higher education that contribute to community development

Zone 4 – Social Innovation, Social Enterprise, and Entrepreneurship – social innovations created by higher education institutions.  Viewers will see examples and understand more about ‘social innovation’

Zone 5 – University Innovation Ecosystem – the story of how higher education institutions are central to the state and industrial sectors and the availability of the proper tools to promote development into Thailand 4.0

Zone 6 – SME & Start Up – prototypes of creative innovations developed by students that inspire creativity and innovation

Zone 7 – Innovation Hubs – a project designed to close the existing gap of Thai research systems that can not drive research from educational institutions.  It also supports the potential universities as centers of innovations by encouraging large-scale tools to extend their reach to a master level

Zone 8 – Exhibition of Cooperation and Integration of University Groups – description of the system for selection for admission to higher education institutions of Thailand

Zone 9 – International University Cooperation Exhibition – a demonstration of cooperation activities between Thai and foreign universities.

Zone 10 – Private University Exhibitions:  Private Universities with Educational Opportunities, Institutional Cooperation with Business and Industry and Human Resource Development Roles

This event will take place from 2 – 4 of March 2018 at the Royal Exhibition Hall of Siam Paragon.
