Science and Education


On the 4th of June 2015, Students from several selected high schools undertook a program on science education. This program was purposefully organized as a preliminary, to encourage high school students to see science education as an interesting subject of study. During the course of this program, they were shown various ways science and technology can effectively boost their future and guide them towards innovation.

The primary objective of this unique program was to promote Science in Thai high school system. In promoting science, it also fulfills certain demands on the Thai education system as regards achieving the required educational standards in Asia.

This exercise will not only help students to develop a love for science subjects, it will also help the facilitators of this program in developing new initiatives for modern science education. Moreover, The love and zeal for Science education enable the students to be productive for the society. Obviously, many challenges confronting our society, science education leads to be a better understanding   of technologies and usefulness of scientific innovations. Therefore, science education helps students to understand preferable choices in order to improve social life.

As one can see, the participating students were engaged in practical aspects of science using lab equipment. Practical learning is the most effective method of learning, especially for science-related subjects. Through this exercise, facilitators of this program encouraged many students to embrace science subjects because it mainly consists of practical aspect in the learning process. It is also a necessary tool for students to acquire enough knowledge in their selected fields of study.

Thus, this program had shown how important it is, for teachers, to invent and develop interesting techniques for teaching science in schools. Teaching techniques that engage students in practical and outdoor learning help in facilitating active and fast motivational learning.
