ICT Knowledge Conference hosted by Siam University
The 15th International Conference on ICT & Knowledge Engineering (ICT & KE 2017) was held at Siam University (Bangkok, Thailand) during the days 22-24 November 2017. The conference was jointly organized by Asia and Pacific Distance Multimedia Education Network (APDMEN), the Computer Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, IEEE and IEEE Thailand Section.
This year, the ICT & Knowledge Engineering 2017 received papers from the scientific community representing more than 10 different countries. The event was officially opened by Dr. Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, the Steering Committee of the conference. Subsequently, Assistant Professor Dr.Bogdan Lent, who was invited as the keynote speaker (from University of Applied Sciences, Bern, Switzerland) delivered a speech about “Managing Structural and Dynamic Complexity in ICT Projects”.
The international conference has been held annually since 2003, with the cooperative effort for a number of organizations and universities in Thailand and other countries. The conference is aimed at promoting research in ICT and Knowledge Engineering by bringing together researchers and practitioners in the field to exchange ideas, to report on up-to-the-minute innovations, developments, and up to present results on research on ICT and Knowledge Engineering areas in various related fields. The emphasis of the conference is interdisciplinary scientific exchange, demonstrating openness towards high-quality research falling outside current dominant schools of thought, and on technological transfers within the world-wide region.
