Asia Exchange Orientation with Dr. Pornchai, President of Siam University
On 26 August 2017 there was the Asia Exchange Orientation at Siam University for new international students coming from Austria, the Bahamas, Czechoslovakia, Finland, France, Germany, and Mexico into both our IBBA and IMBA programs. The students learned a little more about the history of the University and about the goals and vision of our International Programs. Adjusting to life in Thailand, safety and emergency, and the expectations of each of Siam’s students was also discussed. Students had the opportunity to meet the President of Siam University, Dr. Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, Dean of the International Program, Dr. Pacapol Anurit, Assoc. Professor Rengson Maunchontham, and Mr. Michael Slater, Student Engagement and Development Officer.
The Asia Exchange students also had the opportunity to share something about themselves and any questions they might have had directly with the President. It was an excellent opportunity for the students to engage with Dr. Pornchai.
Upon conclusion of the initial part of the orientation, Dr. Pornchai invited the students to attend a luncheon put together by the Hotel & Tourism Department, Thai Program to offer a taste of Thailand’s cuisine.
Following the luncheon, Asia Exchange students were offered a tour of the Hotel & Tourism facilities and then a tour of the Siam University campus.
